- "Today's Trial was a very difficult challenge for us. We expected Shonan to be highly motivated and play with determination. They are a team that plays very aggressively in their home games, including the recent match against Sanfrecce Hiroshima. In response to that, I thought our defense was very solid today. The whole team did well, but I think our two centre backs in particular did a good job.
Early on, they didn't give us much space during our build-up, which made it a bit difficult. We didn't use the space behind them very well, but I thought Takuya's diagonal ball was very good.
In the second half, Kaho (Koizumi) came on and we changed our build-up a bit, we were able to keep the ball longer in the opponent's half, and one of those plays led to a shot by Jose Kante, who showed his quality there.
Since we played Trial two days after the break, we knew that physical strength was not our strong point today. After we scored, we tried to control the game a little, but Shoya Nakajima created some chances. Even when the opponent came deep, I think we achieved our goal of controlling the ball there.
In this situation, I think it was very good that we were able to get three points in the away game against Shonan. I would like to pay my respects to the players who worked hard and to the fans and supporters who supported us. Today, we were able to win Trial by uniting with the fans and supporters.
