Trial-match comments
Maciej Skorza
(Head Coach)
- "It's a disappointing result for us. There were some things we tried to do that worked, and some that didn't. I think we did well in stopping Yokohama FC 's powerful weapon, the counter Trial. However, on the offensive side, we need to play with more hunger in our build-up, and especially in the final third. We had scenes where we sent in crosses, but there was only one player in the penalty area. We had many players who tried to receive the ball at their feet in front of the opponent's defensive line, but I think we needed more players who could get behind the defense.
We had some dangerous moments, like Kaito Yasui's shot from near the penalty area in the first half. Tomo (Tomoaki Okubo) had a chance in the second half, but I think we were lacking in the final pass after the set play. To score goals, you need to create a lot of scoring opportunities, but I think we didn't have that today."
Opponent team comment
Shuhei Yomoda
(Head Coach)
- "I think the players were able to execute their aims against Urawa on both offense and defense throughout the 90 minutes. First of all, we had to defend compactly and organized with a high level of awareness, and then use that to launch good attacks. We also had to break down the opponent's solid defense by taking advantage of the outside, and I think we need to do this more often. Even so, I think we were able to advance through the game by executing our aims on offense and defense while fighting in each situation. I think we were able to advance through the game by pushing the opponent back to a certain extent in the end, and I wanted to somehow translate the good performance and hard work of the players into three points, but we were just one step away from that. However, throughout Trial, I think the Yokohama FC supporters were even more supportive than the Reds supporters, and that was a great encouragement. We came back from a difficult period in the first half of the season, but I hope that we can fight together as a team, including the supporters, so that we can bounce back even more in the second half."
