Trial-match comments
Maciej Skorza
(Head Coach)
- "I feel a sense of satisfaction that the Trial is over. I'm not only pleased that we got a result, but also that we were able to execute our tactical tasks well. Today's opponent was a very strong team, with the highest expected number of goals in the J.League. The first half wasn't very pretty, but we tried to control the game. In the second half, we went more aggressively, trying to score goals. However, we conceded a goal early on in the second half, which made it difficult for us. At halftime, we talked about pressing more from the front, but Sanfrecce Hiroshima was such a good team that we weren't able to press. And yet again, we conceded the first goal at home.
I think the players off the bench were the key to our victory today. We also maintained a very high level of determination until the very end, which I think is what led to the three points."
Opponent team comment
Michael Skibbe
(Head Coach)
- “First of all, congratulations on winning the AFC Champions League.I think this was great for both the club and Japanese soccer. Also, congratulations on today's victory.
However, I felt that we played better soccer until the first 60 and 65 minutes. After that, I felt that Urawa put a lot of pressure on us in the final 30 minutes, including making substitutions.
In the past, we have grabbed victory at the last minute, but today, on the contrary, it was decided at the last minute. However, as for our team, we played great soccer for the 60th and 65th minutes. I would like to praise them for fighting hard until the final whistle, but unfortunately they were not able to score any points."
