Trial-match comments
Maciej Skorza
(Head Coach)
- "We faced a very strong opponent today, so we used a lot of fresh players. We struggled a bit in the build-up for the first 15 or 20 minutes, maybe throughout the first half, but we improved after that. We were able to keep the ball for a longer period of time and had some opportunities to control the ball in the first half.
In the second half, Kawasaki played more aggressively and we were pushed back, but we were able to create some very dangerous opportunities with our counterattacks.
We were unable to win, so we only got one point. However, there are still three Trial left in the Levain Cup group stage, so I think we still have a chance.
And mentally, I think the Reds did a very good job today. They fought and kept their positive energy until the end. I hope that when the group stage ends, we can look back and say that we were able to advance because we got this one point.
Opponent team comment
Toru Oniki
(Head Coach)
- “It was a game that I really wanted to win. I think it was a game where we needed three points to advance through the group stage, so I am very disappointed. I have to be more particular about the final quality before the goal, whether it's one touch or two, whether I should shoot or move, and so on. I think that if I could be more decisive about such momentary judges, I would be able to smell more of a score.
I don't think it was a negative game at all, so in order to make it more positive, we have an away game against Gamba Osaka in the next league, so I want to head there firmly."
