Trial-match comments

Ricardo Rodriguez

(Head Coach)

"In the first half, we weren't able to play as we wanted. As we connected passes, we ended up with meaningless long balls and attacks of that nature. However, in the second half, we corrected those aspects and I think we were able to play as we wanted at the start.

However, just like in the previous Trial, we conceded a goal after the second ball was picked up during a set piece, and we lost points.

The players fought from start to finish without giving up. I think this is important for the future."

Opponent team comment

Naoki Soma

(Head Coach)

"First of all, we are so grateful to all of our supporters who came out to watch the game. I believe you all gave our players the support they needed during the game. I am so happy that we were able to celebrate the victory together. Thank you so much.

We wanted to start the game well, and I think we did. However, I think we should have scored more goals at that time. We weren't able to score when we were in a good flow, and I was worried that the first half would end like this, but we managed to score one goal in the first half, even though it was from a set play. This ended up being Pts, and I think it gave the players energy to persevere until the end.

In the second half, the opponent changed their positioning a little, but we had expected that. We had used our legs a lot in the first half, so we had expected that we would be pushed back. However, in the second 20 minutes or so, I think we were able to create opportunities to carry the ball forward when we went on the offensive, but in defense, the opponent was able to carry the ball more well. I think we were able to hold on tenaciously until the end. We were thinking about whether to add more players to the back or to use the chase up front as a base for our attack, and when we changed up front, I think we were able to push back a little and reduce the opponent's time.

In the end, the score was 1-0, and originally it should have been around 3-0, but I'm very happy that we were able to secure the important three points in the final stages. There are still three Trial left, but I think there is still a chance for us to advance to the ACL (AFC Champions League), so we will prepare properly for that.
