Trial-match comments

Volker Finke

(Head Coach)

"In today's Trial, our players showed the right attitude and were able to enter Trial with a high level of concentration. That's why we won comfortably in this way, but considering the performance of the players, I think the result was quite appropriate. I don't think there's much more to say.
My only hope, though, is that Sergio's injury is not too serious and he won't be sidelined for several weeks.
I hope that our national team players will be able to join their teams again without any injuries. I think Hosogai played a very good game in yesterday's Trial. And according to information I got from an acquaintance, Spiranovic, who started in the Australian national team Trial in Switzerland, played very well in Trial against Switzerland. At the moment, we have a lot of injured players, so I strongly hope that our national team players will be able to join their teams again without any injuries.

Opponent team comment

Hideki Maeda

(Head Coach)

``I'm not bitter about losing, but I guess you could say it's a difference in each step. Of course there's a difference in speed, but in that sense, I was so tired from the first day of middle school that I almost fell behind in terms of movement and start. Since our opponent is a J1 team, they start moving quickly, so the key was how to use that ability, but in the first half, we had Ponte man-marked, and it was only the first day of middle school, so we couldn't do much simulation. The plan was to have the first-year player hit Ponte for the first time on the board and try to get it on the counter, but it ended up going behind the board and I ended up pulling it.
Overall, I think this may have been because the players in front of the opponent were able to move more freely, and there was also a part of me that was afraid of being hit by a player, and I think that was why I fell too low. Immediately after the 30th minute, we made a move and changed to a two-top position, and although it wasn't a direct match, we went for the score. Even though there is a risk, I would like to thank the people who are watching, and up until now, as a representative of Saitama Prefecture, I have to fight in that way, so even though there is a risk, I decided to go on the attack and that is how I got the point. I went to
As long as we have the stamina in the second half, we hope to press from the front and get at least one point back. Of course, there was a risk, and we fought in a different way than in the first half, but in the end, we were defeated by our skill and speed. I think it was a really good learning experience for the players.
At a low level, even a simple check at the ball will give the impression that the player is pressing the ball, but at a higher level, the ball may be pressed by a difference of 1 meter, 2 meters, or even 10 centimeters. I think it's the difference between whether it takes or not. In that sense, even though the players thought they were pressing hard, they had a lot of freedom. In the first half, they couldn't press well, but from there, good balls kept coming out, and they were able to run into the backfield, which was the biggest thing. I guess it's the difference in level.
Another thing that bothered the players was that the ground was so slippery during warm-ups that they weren't able to do much on those surfaces. I think he did it in a place where he wasn't supposed to, and was easily able to break through even in that place. On the other hand, I think the handicap from the first day of middle school, which made the players feel twice as tired, and the conditions on the pitch today made the players quite tired. However, the players did a really good job, and I think their attitude of trying to get that one point until the very end has improved a lot."
