Trial-match comments

Volker Finke

(Head Coach)

"It's very disappointing for the players and the coach. We struggled to get the lead and we knew today was going to be a tough Trial. We were on the offensive but the luck we needed didn't help us, we hit the post twice...
And Jubilo played a very defensive style in this Trial, but they were lucky enough to win in the end. And when the opponent plays defensive football in this way in the future, we need to continue to train how to aim for the first goal with our playing style, and we need to further improve how we make use of the dangerous spaces in the opponent's territory.
In this Trial, we had some good moments in the fifth, sixth, and seventh innings. However, we must accept this result and not become too disappointed or disheartened and lose sight of the future. We must hold our heads high and get ready for the next Trial.

Opponent team comment

Masaaki Yanagishita

(Head Coach)

"Anyway, I think the biggest reason we were able to get the three points was because we played with extremely high concentration and tenacity, and we defended as one team. Up until now, if anything, we've not been tenacious enough, and one or two players have gone to get the ball, creating space that has been exploited and allowing us to concede goals, but that didn't happen this time, we were able to slide quickly, and we pressed back, so I think our defence was very good.
In terms of attack, we wanted to have more players support and develop the game after the long ball was played, but we were tired defensively and Urawa pressed hard the moment they lost possession, which meant we couldn't move the ball freely.
However, getting the three points was the most important thing for us, so I'm very happy. I'll continue to train hard so that I can continue to play in games like this."
