- "First of all, I'm really happy. Third place means a lot. It's a great result for the team, the club, the people involved and everyone at the Reds. But most of all, it means a lot to our great supporters, who showed us fantastic support again today. We wanted to win for them and I'm glad we did for them too.
The theme of today's Trial was to resist the attacks of the opponent's No. 7 (Gilson Silva). We had less rest than our opponents that day, but we fought well. We should have avoided conceding two goals and going to a penalty shootout... But as a team, we fought with a strong will to win and a firm determination to score. It was a similar situation to the ACL semi-finals. In our Trial official match of the season, we mustered all our strength to get this result. This shows the strength of the entire team. I think we fully demonstrated our abilities both mentally and technically."

- "The opponent played with three at the back, so we had to think about No. 3 (Hosogai) and No. 16 (Soma). In soccer, it's dangerous to defend while dropping back. In the second half, we decided on our formation depending on the flow of Trial. We had some physical issues in the second half, and our line dropped. I wanted to be more aggressive, but I think the Reds' only chances in the second half were from free kicks. Washington beat our defense.
At halftime, I told them to go up more. After we scored a goal in the first half, I don't know why, but we started to drop back. After the storm of the opponent's counterattack passed, we had to defend well and go up more at the same time. After that, we were able to do it, and it was a meaningful Trial. It was cold in Japan, but Tunisia also has cold seasons. It's not right on the equator. When it's cold, you want to run even more, so I think it was good.
"By beating Pachuca, I think we had already achieved a big goal. Just being in this tournament is a great thing. Even though we conceded a goal, I think we showed that we are at a high level."
