Trial-match comments
Holger Osieck
(Head Coach)
- "I'm very happy today. Our team's performance was excellent throughout the entire Trial. We were committed as a team. I told the players to stay positive and to go forward. I'm happy that we were able to score three points. We had a tight schedule with Trial after another, and the league match came straight after the ACL, so we didn't have time to think about tactics in between Trial. We had a week off after the J-League ended, so we were able to work on our tactics, get results, and restructure our midfield. I also think that all the hard work we've done has paid off. We've advanced to the semi-finals, and our opponent is Milan. We've got a great opportunity to play against the world's top teams. However, this isn't just a challenge; I want to take on my responsibilities. I think it's my responsibility to show a solid performance. This is my first time participating in this tournament as a manager. The tournament doesn't have a long history, but I'm very happy that we participated and won today. The supporters were happy too. I think that winning today was good for the supporters and the players, rather than for me."
Opponent team comment
Luka Bonacic
(Head Coach)
- ``Tonight, we weren't a separated team. We were a sick team. We were a completely different team than when we were healthy. We weren't able to show our best side. Urawa had a fresher feel. "I was there"
