Trial-match comments

Holger Osieck

(Head Coach)

"Today's Trial was something we couldn't Trial in the previous term, so if we win today's Trial, we will close the gap with Gamba, so it was a meaningful Trial.
Fortunately, we were able to achieve that. However, it can be said that Sanfrecce was a very difficult opponent. They played good football, especially in the first half, and we struggled to find our rhythm. In the second half, we increased our speed and gradually started to play football at our own rhythm.
In that situation, we conceded a goal, but that goal actually became a trigger and ignited our fighting spirit. I think that it rekindled all the players' determination to win and fight, and they showed all their strength. The players had good morals, played with passion, and ultimately won Trial, so I am satisfied with that as a coach."

Opponent team comment

Petrovic

(Head Coach)

"It's not easy for a coach to comment on a 4-1 defeat. But we played well until the penalty kick. We were fighting Urawa on an equal footing. We were attacking with good combinations and had some good chances. Then the penalty kick came, but I wasn't sure if it was really a penalty kick because the goalkeeper had the ball first. After that, our players looked tired and didn't have the strength to turn Trial around. We lost 4-1, but our young players played well against Urawa. I'm satisfied with that. Over the past month, six of our important players have been away on international duty. Over the next 10 days, we'll be able to prepare for the Nagoya match with almost all of our teammates. We'll finally be able to Trial against Nagoya with all of our teammates. Toda and Morisaki Kazu were away today, but they'll be back (after a suspension for accumulated yellow cards). We'll prepare well for the Trial, play a good Trial and win."
