Trial-match comments
Holger Osieck
(Head Coach)
- ``I think the customers who came to the stadium today saw a good game and went home satisfied. Our opponent, Manchester United, is one of the top teams in the world, and we are proud to have the players' names, Not only the name of the team, but also the abilities and potential they have are all top-notch, and they performed well even when they were tired. On the other hand, we, Urawa Reds, were able to compete with them today, and they were excellent. We were able to play soccer.Especially in the first half, we played soccer with good discipline and very strict tactics. In the second half, there were some substitutions, but due to injuries or things that had been decided in advance, we made substitutions. Man U attacked more solidly and attacked us. We were turned over, but in the end we managed to catch up. I would also like to praise our players for working so hard. Today's players from our team I am also satisfied with the performance of the team.”
Opponent team comment
sir alex ferguson
(Head Coach)
- "It was a very entertaining Trial. Of course, we started to get tired in the second half, and Urawa Reds were playing their own style of football, so all of these factors combined to result in the result we had, but I am very happy with the game itself. We were able to use a variety of players, so I think we were able to get a feel for Trial of this season for the first time. I would also like to say to the fans who made the effort to come to the stadium tonight that it was thanks to their contributions that Trial was so good. I think it was an entertaining Trial they were satisfied with as well. Thanks to you, we didn't have any injuries and we were able to make five substitutes, so I am personally satisfied that it went very well for our first Trial. Thank you."
