Trial-match comments
Holger Osieck
(Head Coach)
- "As you all know, away Trial are very tough. In my experience, it is particularly difficult to beat Antlers here at Kashima. So I am very happy that we were able to get the three points here today.
But what made me happiest was that we played as a team today. The defense, midfield and offense all worked together in perfect harmony.
Tactically, we played a great team today. What we said beforehand, the players delivered on the pitch.
It was amazing how each and every member of the team gave everything they had for the team."
Opponent team comment
Oswaldo Oliveira
(Head Coach)
- (You had some decisive chances early in the second half. What did you lack to make you lose?)
"You could call it decisiveness, but it's not something that can be easily overcome, and sometimes you score and sometimes you don't, which is what makes soccer fun and what's tough about it.
If we had been able to score, we might have been able to control the game like we did after the Reds scored. If that had happened, we might have been able to play with a little more leeway, and I think whether or not we score the chances we have can make a big difference in the flow of the game, and as time was running out, we lost our leeway and our shots lacked accuracy.
What are your goals for the next Trial?
"Football is a living thing, and there is something called momentum. Whether or not you can score when you're in the flow of things determines the outcome of Trial. If you can score when the flow is in your favor, you can play Trial more easily. I think this experience will be useful in the next Trial. We've gotten better as a team, and I think we'll get better if we fix the small details."
