Trial-match comments

Holger Osieck

(Head Coach)

"Trial we lost to Kawasaki 1-2. Of course, it is a very disappointing result. In the first half, up until about the 35th minute, we were very good tactically. We created many chances and it would not have been surprising if we had scored. However, the opposing goalkeeper was doing a great job and we were able to stop several of their goals.
In the second half, the opponents started better. Kawasaki scored two goals during that time. However, the Reds players did not let themselves get carried away, instead showing a strong morale of "We're going to win" and "We're going to turn it around". And they were able to advance in Trial in a situation where it would not have been surprising if they had caught up with the score.

Opponent team comment

Takashi Sekizuka

(Head Coach)

"I'm grateful to the players for getting their first win against Urawa following on from the previous match. We went into the match with a strong determination to get a win here, and it was a life-or-death battle, with many of our players cramping up. They did a great job to the end.
I would like to thank the fans for cheering us on. In terms of content, the first half was mostly Urawa's pace. We had a few chances, but after we got the ball, Urawa's checks were quick, and we couldn't get past them and lost the ball. At halftime, we decided to take the ball a little more, and then make a good starting point, and to run the ball well, and we went into the second half.
The ball started to move around from the start of the second half. Kurotsu showed great tenacity and penetrated the middle, resulting in Ganaha's first league goal of the season.
I'm satisfied that we managed to win despite Urawa's record of 25 unbeaten games. We still have a lot to improve. It was a good J.League Trial, and I'm satisfied. I want to improve the quality of our performance from now on."
