Trial-match comments
Holger Osieck
(Head Coach)
- "The Reds dominated Trial today, especially in the first half, and won Trial.
The Reds dominated the game for periods that gave Reysol no chance to capitalize, and during those periods they were able to score.
In the second half, Reysol also brought in new players and changed their positions. They were more willing to take risks to score points. They had three defenders and a thicker midfield.
In the second half, the Reds' pressing from the front line got a little weaker, so they had to sit back against Reysol. Other than that, I'm happy with how we played today."
Opponent team comment
Nobuhiro Ishizaki
(Head Coach)
- "I was really looking forward to playing against the Reds, last year's champions. My goal for today's Trial was to see how well I could play the football I've always played.
In the first half, we weren't able to play the same football we've always played against the Reds, and we were slow to react and conceded goals. In the second half, we replaced some players and changed the system, and we were able to try to close in on the ball quickly and courageously to take it away. We need to do what we did in the second half today, starting from the first half. We need to remember that we are challengers, and we have one week until our next match against Kofu, so we absolutely cannot afford to lose two games in a row, so we want to keep that in mind as we go into the match against Kofu."
