Team Manager Mischa - press conference after the match against Nagoya Grampus

Comment from Team Manager Mischa after the Meiji Yasuda Life Insurance Company J. League 2nd Stage 4th Sec match against Nagoya Grampus

Our team has lost two consecutive matches after losing today’s match. Though we performed well during these two matches, we lost both matches and I regard this is not a good flow for the team.

Though our team had to play with one less player for a long time in a harsh summer climate, our team outperformed our opponent and created many chances as though we had a full number of members in the team. As for our previous match against Sanfrecce Hiroshima, our team had struggled to nail the chances they created. We lost the match because of a narrow chance our opponent team made the most of even though our team’s overall performance was certainly better than our opponent’s.

I don’t think our team was inferior to our opponents. However, when a team loses a match in Japan, it is often regarded that their performance was inferior to their opponent’s. But in my opinion, our team’s performance was clearly better than that of our opponent today despite the fact that our team had one less player. I think our players did as well as they could today.
