Comment from Team Manager Volker Finke on the day before the 2010 season J. League Eighth Sec. against Jubilo Iwata
We have to be careful not to make the impression that the match we will play this time would be easy one. In reality, it would be the opposite. As we have only played 7 matches since the beginning of the season, J. League standing does not tell significant meaning. In addition to this, Jubilo Iwata has not lost in any matches since they played against us with the result of draw in Saitama Stadium in the Yamazaki Nabisco Cup. It is not that we fear our opponent. However, in order for us to win the match, we have to be highly concentrated. Even if we will not be able to achieve what we want to achieve in the early stage of the match, we have to be patient and remain concentrated. It will be dangerous if we underestimate our opponent.
Having said all this, I am certain about one thing. I am convinced that all the players who will be sent to the pitch tomorrow will do their jobs right with a strong determination to win no matter what. They will have the strong determination which is required as a winner.
As for injuries, things are not too bad. I was hoping to have Sergio back to the team practice from this week. However, it has not happened yet. Instead, Ugajin has been able to join the team practice from this week. Sanou had to play in a few much earlier than originally planned . For this reason, I have not decided which player would be playing as a starting line up member tomorrow. The good thing is that no other players are injured so far. I feel that we had been able to practice ourselves well during the week.
