Team Manager Hori and Player Endo attend an official interview session the day before the match against Shanghai SIPG F.C.

An official AFC Champions League (ACL) 2017 pre-match interview session was held at Shanghai Stadium on the 26th of September ahead of the following day’s Semi-final 1st Leg match against Shanghai SIPG F.C.. Urawa Reds Team Manager Takafumi Hori and Player Wataru Endo attended the interview session to express their excitement and determination for the upcoming match.

Comment from Team Manager Hori
This is the first time for us Urawa Reds to play an ACL Semi-final match since 2008. I have heard that so many fans and supporters will come to the stadium to bolster us tomorrow and I trust that lots of people are wishing us the best in Japan. We will do our utmost to meet their expectations and to create a good momentum for the second leg match.

Comment from Wataru Endo
Hi, I’m Wataru Endo. We are expecting to have a hard away match tomorrow. Since our opponent team has a great player on their front line, as a defender myself, I would like to focus on how to keep him in check tomorrow. As for our team, we will play Urawa Reds style soccer in this away ground so that we can go back home with a solid first leg result.
