Naohiro Takahara Press Conference of Joining Reds   

Press conference of Naohiro Takahara for joining the team was held today 11th of February from 2 pm at the ballroom of Saitama Stadium 2002.
Firstly president Mitsunori Fujiguchi and Naohiro Takahara attended the signing ceremony and General Manager Shuzo Nakamura and Naohiro Takahara attended the press conference subsequently.

Takahara successfully passed medical check yesterday and became a player of Urawa Reds by signing the contract earlier. I appreciate him for coming. We are thinking of building the team to be competitive with stronger teams of the world and he is one of the players essential for this achievement. I am very glad that we were able to welcome one of the best strikers in Japan.
We were able to win the title of ACL and third place of Club World Cup. However, we could not defend the title of J League and felt deeply chagrined. Moreover, we disappointed the supporters. We will strive to win the title of Nabisco Cup, Emperor’s Cup, J League and ACL and join Club World Cup to play again with top teams of the world. New season will commence soon and we wish for everyone’s support.

I will do my best for the team as a member of Urawa Reds. I want to show high performance that will satisfy supporters. I would want to produce results as an attacker to win acceptance.
