6 Reds Ladies Players Appear in Event
Following the event at Aeon Urawa Misono on 5th April, Nozomi Yamago, Miyuki Yanagita, Kozue Ando and Kyoko Yano of Reds Ladies visited “Red Voltage” at 3 pm and spent time with the fans and supporters.
The 4 players came on wearing newly released T-shirts. They helped to distribute Reds Ladies brochure for about 40 minutes at the store and then spent time together with the fans and supporters by signing autographs and taking photos together.
Lastly, Yamago represented the 4 players and gave a speech. “We will face Albirex Niigata Ladies at Komaba Stadium on 11th April. Please come to the stadium and support us”, said Yamago. The audience gave a big round of applause.
From 4 pm, Yuki Tsuchihashi and Sachie Koganemaru had a Reds Wave talk show, “Reds Power of Town DX” held at “Reds Gate” on 1st floor of Urawa Parco. Regarding the current team condition, “We changed manager to Mr. Muramatsu around the same time last year. Our football style changed and we were excited back then. This year, Manager Muramatsu’s style has been understood fully by the team and we are more confident”, said Tsuchihashi.
Koganemaru, who have been appointed as vice captain from this season, expressed her goal as, “I would like to guide younger players and lead the team.”
In the talk show, there were some questions pertaining to the 2 players’ characters. Tsuchihashi commented about Koganemaru as a person who cares for others and is considerate. Koganemaru described Tsuchihashi as a person who concerns about others and, says things to encourage younger players.
“Your support will spur us to play even harder. Please come and watch our game as much as possible”, said Tsuchihashi in the end. Koganemaru commented, “Yanagita and Takahashi will celebrate their birthday on 11th April. Please bring your present to Komaba Stadium and support us”. The place was filled with laughter. The talk show which was held in an amicable atmosphere ended after 30 minutes. Thereafter, the 2 players signed autographs and took photos with the fans and supporters.
The 2009 Plenus Nadeshiko League will start on 11th April. This season will be the 5th year for Reds Ladies. Reds Ladies will aim to win the opening game against Albirex Niigata Ladies (kick off at 1 pm) in order to achieve the long time goal of winning the league this year.
